Rusty exhaust silencers or dirty air anyone? Yeah probably not. Not for us either. Too many times we see a nice enclosure with a rusted out tin can sitting on top. Not cool. We also go to the other extreme of maintaining and implementing emission control solutions to keep you in compliance and keep our air clean. We maintain the entire exhaust system and control to keep your machine operating correctly, efficiently, cleanly and look good while doing it.

Two quick facts:

1. We took over a contract for a Atlanta, Georgia area media firm recently. The two 750kw generators are located in the basement. While onsite performing our first inspection our tech asked to have an outside gate unlocked so he could finish inspecting the exhaust system. Would you believe that on one of the units the entire 10" piping that protrudes from the building into an elbow and rain cap was laying on the ground after rusting out and falling 12' to the ground. The other generators exhaust was had rusted out and bent over being held by a remaining 1" wide piece of rusted metal. The customer stated out of the 3 previous vendors they have used, no one ever asked to look at it before.

2. We took over operation of a 15 megawatt plant consisting of multiple 2mw and 1mw generators. They were recently retrofitted by a contractor with a SCR urea emission control system. After a year and 10 months of operation, 8 of the units had failures. No one new the repercussions of non compliance with air permits and the manufacturer of the systems was based out of Germany and offered no U.S. tech support. Power And Energy Services was engaged to correct the emissions issues as well. We were able to repair the faults and retrofit in replacement parts that enabled the client to get in compliance.
